Ayurveda Head Massage
Indian head massage is a healing art rooted in Ayurveda medicine that has been practiced in India for over 4000 years based on the belief that health and wellness depend on achieving a balance between mind, body, and spirit. It is viewed as a perfect way to rebalance the body through gentle stimulation of the Marma (energy) points found in the back, neck, ears, face and head.
Some of the benefits of Indian Head Massage are:
- Alleviates stress and tension
- Helps relieve migraines, headaches, and back pain
- Stimulates lymphatic drainage and detoxification
- Improves sleep and insomnia
- Relieves symptoms of anxiety and depression
- Renews energy levels
- Boosts memory
- Can stimulate hair growth
What is Grounding?
Earthing (grounding) is the result we get from our body coming in direct contact with the Earth’s natural electric charge. Outside we ground by having our bare feet or skin in direct contact with the earth and/or through natural product such as cotton or leather.
This connection stabilizes the body’s physiology reducing inflammation, pain, and stress, plus improves blood flow, energy, sleep, and a greater sense of well-being.
My results from sleeping and working grounded include uninterrupted sleep, reduced inflammation, weight loss and never wake up with body pain. These results have inspired me to incorporate grounding into my treatments whenever possible and share this health discovery with as many people as possible. It is accessible to everyone, affordable, and anyone can do it.
There is scientific proof of why we feel so good after being outside!
If you want to learn more, there are many resources online, plus a book “Earthing – The most important discovery ever?” and documentary called “The Earthing Movie”
My authentic, gentle nature, intuitive sense, and natural abilities are the backbone of my success in all I do and I hope to share that with you.
I have evolved my intuitive skills through vocational work including:
• 20 years as an inspirational children’s performer,
• care provider for people transitioning to the next realm,
• social services work assisting individuals to identify their skills and build self-confidence,
• producer of live arts and culture for children and youth,
• creator of the Ripple Effect Dance Project that celebrates diversity, inclusion, and acceptance of ourselves and others,
My journey to this stage in life has led me to start “Get Out of Your Head, Get Grounded” focusing on the benefits of breath, touch, sound, smell, and allowing your inner child to play. Earthing and grounding are imperative for my well-being and I am passionate about spreading the word of its simplicity and accessibility and incorporating it into my head massage practice.
My passion is to help individuals relax and receive a break from everyday stress. Indian massage is an opportunity to “Get of out of your Head and Get Grounded”.
It would be my pleasure and honour to have you as a client.
In health and well-being,
Bobbi
Namaste
"Bobbi's Ayurveda Head Massage offering is a beautiful, calming, soul healing experience. When I entered the space, there was soft music playing and my whole being started to relax. She had prepared the space and encouraged me to set an intention once we began. I fell asleep almost immediately while she worked her magic and woke up feeling light and clear. The next few days were a mix of extra napping interspersed with hours of super energy in between. It feels as though some internal emotional pattern was shifted and has given me more freedom to make changes. Thank you, Bobbi!"
"I highly recommend an Ayurvedic scalp massage with Bobbi! I felt calm and cared for from the beginning. We chatted comfortably then she expertly allowed the quiet relaxation to take over with her healing hands. Thank you Bobbi, I’ll be back!"
"This is the third Ayurveda Head Massage I’ve had with Bobbi, and before then, I had never heard of them. If you’re like me and are always in your head, this is a great way to relax, feel good, and, as Bobbi says, “Get out of your head”. My (unexpected) surprise during these treatments was having amazing meditative experiences. I'm not sure why, but I feel it’s an added bonus to feeling so good after her treatment. Can’t wait for my next treatment."
During my life, I’ve had a wide variety of regular massage treatments with different masseuse techniques which has helped my body tremendously. But Bobbi’s Ayurveda Head Massage was like the ‘icing on the cake'… I loved it!

Have Questions?
Frequently Asked Questions.
Please come with clean hair and no hair products or make-up, if possible.
No, it is not recommended.
No, private medical insurance does not cover Ayurveda Head Massage. I will provide you with a receipt in the event that you can use it for tax purposes.
Results vary based on the individual. Some people feel relaxed and sleepy and others feel relaxed and rejuvenated with lots of energy. You might feel both over the days that follow.
This depends on why you are having massage. If it is to relax and pamper yourself then a treatment once every 2 to 6 weeks works well. If you are suffering from headaches, migraines, anxiety or depression, you might want more frequent treatments for a few weeks until you feel better.
I highly recommend bringing a water bottle as hydration is important before and after your treatment and maybe a light snack.
You will have oil in your hair and may want to bring a brush or hat to wear home.
75 minutes is recommended to have enough time. Allowing as much time.
